He was predeceased by : his parents, Victor Carter and Archanna Owens Carter; and his sisters, Glenda Carter and Marian Carter. He is survived by : his spouse Eval Clutter; his son Keith Carter (Lisa) of Sophia; his step-children, Danny Newhouse of Archdale and Molly Berrier of Lexington; and his siblings, Maxine McQueen of Rowland, Mickey Carter (Linda) of Archdale, Richard Carter (Cindy) of Hamlet, Jerry Grimsley (Carol) of Billings, MT, Connie Farlow of Wilmington, Patsy Hendrix (Sonny) of Ash, Cheryl Prevatte (Donnie) of Wilmington, Jeff Carter (Sara) of Laurinburg and Tony Carter of Rowland. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
